  1. Vibrant & Connected Communities<\/a>,<\/li>\n
  2. For the Love of Horses<\/a>, or<\/li>\n
  3. The Environment & Sustainability<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Support is in the form of micro-grants ranging from $1,000 – $5,000.<\/p>\n

Whether it\u2019s an innovative idea or a fundamental need, we want to know that it\u2019s making a difference in people\u2019s lives.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=”loh”]For the Love of Horses<\/strong> initiatives are those that foster a love of equines and the value they bring to others. Whether it\u2019s getting people to engage with horses, learn more about them or take care of them, we\u2019re interested in supporting programs that show us the love! Available to organizations across Ontario.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=”eh”]Environment & Sustainability<\/strong> initiatives can vary in scope and scale so long as they contribute to creating a greener planet. Plant a garden, reduce waste, change out products for greener solutions, almost anything goes! The greater the impact on addressing climate change, the better.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=”eligibility”]Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      All applicants to the Woodbine Cares Community Investment Program must:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Be a charitable organization registered with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).<\/li>\n
      • Be located within the local surroundings of Woodbine Racetrack and Woodbine Mohawk Park.<\/li>\n
      • Demonstrate clearly how their initiative falls within our defined focus areas listed above.<\/li>\n
      • Provide evidence of strong fiscal management and governance practices. Audited statements will be required.<\/li>\n
      • Have submitted all final reports from previous years, if a previous recipient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=”non-eligibility”]Charitable contributions and support do not extend to: <\/strong><\/p>\n

        • Individuals<\/li>\n
        • Athletics, including individual and all-star sports teams<\/li>\n
        • Programs outside Ontario, Canada<\/li>\n
        • Fundraising events<\/li>\n
        • Organizations that discriminate by race, ability, creed, gender, age or national origin, etc.<\/li>\n
        • Advertising of any kind<\/li>\n
        • Underwriting of films, video and television productions<\/li>\n
        • Sectarian\/religious activities and\/or churches, synagogues and other places of worship<\/li>\n
        • Costs related infrastructure<\/li>\n
        • Conferences, trips, or tours<\/li>\n
        • Fraternal, veteran or labour groups serving only their members<\/li>\n
        • Membership fees or association fees, either personal or corporate<\/li>\n
        • Family Foundations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
